This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in black over matching partial leather. Equipment includes 17″ Turbo Twist wheels, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, a Porsche CR-210 stereo, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, and air conditioning. The car spent its life in New Jersey with a single registered owner prior to its recent acquisition by the selling dealer, and work in preparation for the sale has reportedly included fluids services and replacing the air filter, fuel filter, distributor cap, timing cover, timing chain case, chain tensioner gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and spark plugs. This 993 Carrera coupe is now offered in New York with a clean New Jersey title.
The car is finished in Black (L741) and features headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 17″ Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires with date codes from 2017 and 2018. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the car is equipped with an Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). H&R lowering springs were reportedly added in preparation for the sale.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a matching center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include cruise control, a Porsche CR-210 stereo, air conditioning, and an aluminum-accented shifter and handbrake lever.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames aluminum-look VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 58k miles, and the Carfax report lists mileage inconsistencies in September 2013, May 2014, and March 2022. Total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Work in preparation for the sale has reportedly included fluids services and replacing the air filter, fuel filter, distributor cap, timing cover, timing chain case, chain tensioner gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Additional underside photographs are shown in the gallery below.
