This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is finished in Sebring Silver over dark blue upholstery, and its 327ci V8 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include concealed headlights, 15″ steel wheels with full covers, split chrome bumpers, bucket seats, and a rear cargo shelf. The current owner acquired the car in March 2021 reportedly from its first owner, and subsequent service has included rebuilding the carburetor, distributor, alternator, and differential as well as brake work, an oil change, and replacement of the tires, wheel bearings, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, battery, and ignition components. This split-window C2 is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its owner with removed parts, partial records, and a clean California title.
The 1963 model featured a one-year-only split rear window, and this example was delivered new in Sebring Silver (941). The exterior was refinished in 1998, and the seller notes evidence of fiberglass work on the right side of the rear valance. The wiper blades have been replaced by the current owner.
Black-painted 15″ steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw white-stripe tires installed under current ownership. Other work has included installing Delco shocks and a dual-reservoir master cylinder along with brake service and replacement of the wheel cylinders and wheel bearings.
The car received dark blue vinyl upholstery (490J) from the factory. Features include bucket seats, a rear cargo shelf, and a console. In 1998 the blue carpets were replaced, and the following year the wiring harness was replaced. The seller notes that the turn-signal cancel mechanism, clock, and push-button radio are inoperable.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 was rebuilt in 1997, and the fuel tank was replaced in 2020. Work in 2021 and 2022 has included rebuilding the carburetor, distributor, and alternator along with changing the oil and replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, points, condenser, fuel filter, air filter, battery, fuel pump, thermostat, and various hoses.
The engine code and serial number are shown above.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The differential has been rebuilt and the U-joints were replaced. The seller notes corrosion on the underbody, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
