This 1973 BMW 3.0CS is powered by a 3.0-liter M30 inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Polaris Silver over navy blue leather. Equipment includes a sunroof, air conditioning, power windows, a Nardi steering wheel, an Alpina shift knob, a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo, Coco mats, and 14″ BWA wheels. The car was acquired on BaT in April 2021 by the current owner, and subsequent work is said to have consisted of replacing the water pump, taillight lenses, and portions of the stainless-steel exterior trim and weatherstripping along with completing an oil change and coolant flush. This 3.0CS is now offered on dealer consignment with a service record, refurbishment photos, spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The body was refinished in in the factory Polaris Silver in the 1990s, and the left-side taillight lenses, the driver’s door sill gasket, and parts of the exterior stainless-steel trim were replaced in preparation for the sale according to the seller. Exterior details include a sunroof, quad headlights, clear side-marker lenses, and a single exhaust outlet. Dents are noted on the front bumper, and close-up photos of exterior are provided in the gallery.
BWA 14″ wheels are mounted with 185/65 Michelin HydroEdge tires. Braking is handled by discs at all four corners.
The interior features blue leather on the seating surfaces accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Wood trim accents the dashboard and side panels, and additional equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, an Alpina shift knob, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, and Coco mats.
The Nardi steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and a combination gauge. Approximately 99k miles are indicated on the five-digit odometer, roughly 400 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 3.0-liter M30 inline-six is equipped with dual carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Work completed in February 2022 included an oil change and coolant flush as well as a throttle linkage adjustment and replacement of the water pump.
Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
A collection of spare parts is included in the sale along with service records and photos documenting the refurbishment.
