This 1971 Fiat 500L is said to have been refurbished in Italy approximately five years ago and was subsequently imported to the US during previous ownership. It is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 499cc inline-twin paired with a replacement synchromesh four-speed transaxle. Equipment includes a retractable fabric roof, 12″ steel wheels, and chrome-finished bumpers. The car was recently acquired by the selling dealer, and subsequent service reportedly involved a carburetor overhaul. This 500L is offered by the selling dealer with New York registration.
The car was refinished in red during previous ownership in Italy and is equipped with a retractable black fabric roof. Additional exterior details include chrome-finished bumpers and trim, a driver-side mirror, a louvered deck lid, and a single exhaust outlet.
Silver 12″ steel wheels wear polished covers and are mounted with with Golder Tyre tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl along with matching door panel inserts and carpets. Equipment includes dual windshield wipers, a central storage bin, and a floor-mounted shifter.
The two-spoke steering wheels features a Fiat horn button and frames a 130-km/h speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 47k kilometers (~29k miles), a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.
The rear-mounted 499cc inline-twin sends power to the rear wheels through a replacement synchromesh four-speed manual transaxle. Work performed by the selling dealer reportedly included overhauling the carburetor.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
