This 1993 Ferrari 348 TS is number 90 of 100 Serie Speciale examples that were produced exclusively for the US market. It was first delivered to Ferrari of Beverly Hills in California and remained registered in the state until being acquired by the late owner and subsequently relocated to Texas in 2004. The car features a 3.4-liter DOHC V8 paired with a dogleg five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather. Equipment includes a removable roof panel, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, F40-style carbon-Kevlar sport seats, a gated shifter, and power windows. Service performed earlier this year reportedly included an oil change as well as a replacement battery. This 348 Serie Speciale shows 44k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the late owner’s estate with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, luggage, spare wheels, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.
Each Serie Speciale version of the 348 featured a redesigned front bumper cover with a single inlet, a body-color rear deck lid and rocker panels, and restyled taillight treatment. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a removable black roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, side air intakes, and quad exhaust tips. Scrapes are present on the front spoiler and rear bumper.
Aftermarket 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza S-03 tires measuring 225/40 up front and 275/40 out back. The Serie Speciale featured a rear track that measured 50 millimeters wider than that of the standard 348. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded calipers over ventilated discs along with an anti-lock system. The removed wheels are included in the sale, and the seller notes that the tires need to be replaced.
The cabin features adjustable carbon-Kevlar sport seats upholstered in beige Connolly leather along with a matching center console, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, a heated rear window, drilled aluminum pedals, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. Each 348 Serie Speciale featured an individually numbered plate in the passenger door jamb. The air conditioning does not work.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. A check engine light is illuminated. The six-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 9k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 312 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in May 2022 reportedly included an oil change and a replacement battery and filters. The seller notes that the spark plug wires require replacement and states that the last belt service was completed in 2003.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with a shorter final-drive ratio than the standard 348.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Ferrari of Beverly Hills and lists factory equipment and colors along with a total price of $117,700. The sale also includes a car cover, luggage, service records, and owner’s manuals.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage and shows registration history in California and Texas.
