This 1974 Honda CL450 Scrambler is finished in Candy Sapphire Blue Flake with white and black graphics and is powered by a 444cc parallel twin mated to a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes a two-up seat, a cross-braced handlebar, a chrome grab handle, a high-mount dual exhaust system, chrome fenders, twin Keihin carburetors, and both center and side stands. The bike was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020, and subsequent work included cleaning and synchronizing the carburetors, changing the oil, and replacing the rear tire and spark plugs. This CL450 K6 is offered at no reserve with a clean New York title.
The fuel tank and side panels are finished in Candy Sapphire Blue Flake with white and black graphics. Features include a two-up seat with passenger grab strap, street lighting, and both center and side stands as well as a chrome passenger grab handle, mirrors, and fenders. Paint is flaking on the right-side “450 DOHC” emblem.
Chrome wire-spoke wheels measuring 19″ up front and 18″ out back wear Shinko Trail Master tires, the rear of which was replaced by the selling dealer. Suspension consists of a conventional fork with rubber gaiters as well as a swingarm mounted with adjustable chrome shocks. Braking is from drums at both ends, the front of which features a twin leading-shoe design.
A chrome cross-braced handlebar sits in front of a 130-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 4,700 miles, approximately 100 of which have been ridden by the selling dealer.
The 444cc DOHC parallel twin was factory rated at 43 horsepower and features a chrome and painted high-mount dual exhaust system with a heat shield as well as both kick and electric starters. Service by the selling dealer is said to have included cleaning and synchronizing the twin Keihin carburetors, replacing the spark plugs, and changing the oil.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain.
