This 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V Givenchy Edition is one of a reported 917 produced for the model year and is finished in Midnight Jade over Dark Jade leather upholstery. Power is provided by a 400ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes hideaway headlights, a Chamois Lugano half-vinyl roof, air conditioning, cruise control, a Cartier clock, an AM/FM/eight-track stereo, and power accessories. The car is said to have been acquired from the second owner by the selling dealer in May 2022. This Continental Givenchy Edition is now offered in South Carolina with a Deluxe Marti report and a clean Maryland title.
The car is finished in Midnight Jade and features a Chamois Lugano half-vinyl roof, Cinnamon Gold bodyside molding, and gold pinstriping. Additional exterior details include hideaway headlights, chrome bumpers, mud flaps, dual exhaust outlets, a power antenna, and opera windows with Givenchy-branded etching. The selling dealer notes the power antenna does not raise, and blemishes in the paint can be seen in the photo and video galleries below.
Turbine-style 15″ wheels are wrapped in 225/75 Hankook Optimo H724 thin-whitewall tires showing 2012 date codes. A full-size spare is located in the truck.
The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in Dark Jade Chamois leather along with a matching headliner, dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, woodgrain trim, an AM/FM/eight-track stereo, and power accessories. The air conditioning is said to have been converted to use R134a refrigerant, and the seller notes the power door locks are not working.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a woodgrain inlay and frames instrumentation consisting of a Cartier-branded clock, an 80-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and an assortment of warning lights. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows under 7k miles.
The 6.6-liter V8 was factory rated at 166 horsepower and 319 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional images of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
The Deluxe Marti report shows factory equipment, colors, and data plate information as well as initial delivery to Raines Lincoln-Mercury in Charleston, West Virginia.
