This 1954 MG TF is finished in ivory over black upholstery and is powered by a 1,250cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, a rear-mounted spare, a black soft top and tonneau cover, octagonal instrumentation, and a banjo-style steering wheel. The car was acquired by the seller in 2022, and subsequent service included mounting five tires and changing the engine oil as well as overhauling the brakes and replacing the generator and voltage regulator. This TF is now offered with spare parts, tools, an operation manual, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in ivory under previous ownership and features chrome front and rear bumpers with overriders, a black convertible top, and a tonneau cover. The convertible top does not latch properly when raised and paint blemishes are present around the body. An area of corrosion is noted on the hood.
Silver-finished 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Nexen SB-802 tires installed in 2022, including a matching rear-mounted spare. Additional 2022 service work consisted of installing replacement wheel cylinders and refreshing the braking system with a master cylinder, front hoses, and shoes.
The interior was reupholstered in black under previous ownership. Appointments include a banjo-style steering wheel, dual storage compartments, and a rear-view mirror mounted on the dashboard.
Octagonal Jaeger instrumentation includes a 170-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and an inoperable five-digit odometer that shows 45k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with twin SU carburetors. Engine tag number 33163 is shown in the gallery below and matches the engine number indicated on the vehicle ID tag. Work performed in 2022 included flushing the coolant, changing the engine oil, and replacing the generator and voltage regulator.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A replacement exhaust system has been installed. Corrosion is visible on the underside, and additional images can be viewed in the gallery below.
