This 1962 Triumph Tiger Cub T20 is equipped with a 199cc OHV four-stroke single paired with a four-speed transmission and is finished in orange and silver. Equipment includes drum brakes, a kickstarter, underseat shrouds, painted fenders, front and rear lights, 17″ chrome steel rims, a two-up bench seat, both center and side stands, a frame-mounted air pump, and a chrome exhaust system. The bike was acquired by the selling dealer in April 2022, reportedly following approximately 12 years of display by its previous owner. This Tiger Cub is now offered at no reserve in Kentucky with a clean Tennessee title.
The fuel tank, fenders, and underseat shrouds were refinished in silver and orange over a black-finished single-cradle frame that utilizes the fuel tank to reinforce the top tube. Additional features include a headlight, a taillight, a frame-mounted air pump, rubber knee bolsters and chrome emblems on the fuel tank, both center and side stands, and a two-up bench seat that is upholstered in black and gray vinyl and fitted with a passenger grab strap.
Wire-spoke wheels with 17″ chrome steel rims wear Avon Speedmaster front and Safety Mileage rear tires. Suspension consists of a hydraulically-damped fork as well as twin shrouded shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is supplied by a drum at each wheel.
Instrumentation in the top of the headlight nacelle consists of a Smiths 86-mph speedometer and a mechanical dial gear indicator. The five-digit odometer shows 1,500 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 199cc OHV single was factory rated at ten horsepower and features an alloy cylinder head, dry-sump lubrication, an Amal carburetor, a kickstarter, and a chrome exhaust system with a peashooter-style muffler. The motorcycle is said to have been drained of fuel but left with oil in the engine and oil tank in preparation for display purposes circa 2010. The bike has not been started or ridden since.
The motorcycle is equipped with a right-side-shifted four-speed transmission.
The number 82877 stamped in the engine case matches that on the frame, a photo of which can be viewed in the gallery below.
