This 1976 Porsche 914 is finished in orange over tan vinyl and is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include a removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lamps, four-wheel disc brakes, and an Alpine CD stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequent work included refreshing the ignition system, repairing the shifter linkage assembly, changing the oil, and replacing the oil sump gaskets and the tires. This 914 is now offered at no reserve with the partial service records, spare and removed parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The seller notes that rust repair was performed to the right floor pan and the car was repainted in its factory shade of Nepali Orange during previous ownership. Features include pop-up headlights, integrated fog lamps, Porsche side graphics, a black removable roof panel, and a branded rear reflector panel. There is a dent in the right quarter panel, a crack in the right taillight, and cracks in the front splitter.
Five-spoke 15″ Riviera-style wheels are wrapped in 185/65 Kumho Solus TA11 tires that were mounted in March 2022. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with gold calipers that are said to have been replaced by the previous owner in 2020.
The cockpit features tan vinyl bucket seats with replacement orange houndstooth inserts as well as tan door panels and beige carpeting. Equipment includes a center console, a heater, and an Alpine CD stereo. The dashboard is cracked on the right side.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a tachometer with a 5,600-rpm redline flanked by a 150-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level and coolant temperature. An analog clock and readouts for oil pressure gauge and voltage occupy the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 130 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter flat-four features Bosch electronic fuel injection and was rated at 84 horsepower when new. Service in March 2022 included changing the oil and replacing the oil sump gaskets, spark plugs, ignition cables, battery, an ignition coil, and the distributor cap and rotor. The inner and outer push rod seals were replaced the following month.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The shifter linkage assembly was repaired in March 2022.
The removed right-side and rearview mirrors are included in the sale along with replacement weather seals for the removable roof panel and partial service records.
