This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Guards Red over Cashmere leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 17″ Cup II wheels, a power-operated sunroof, cruise control, and air conditioning. Modifications include a short shifter, Koni dampers, H&R springs, a Rennline strut tower brace, and a Fabspeed Motorsport airbox cover. The seller acquired the car in July 2012 and has since added approximately 38k of the 111k miles shown. Work completed in 2022 included replacing the valve cover gaskets as well as various exterior gaskets and seals. This 993 Carrera coupe is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Guards Red and features headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes faded paint on the front fenders and rear quarter panels. Records indicate the front bumper gaskets were repaired and that the following exterior components were replaced in 2022:
- Rear stone guards
- Sunroof gasket
- Door handle gaskets
- Mirror gaskets
- Door weather stripping
- Engine lid grille
- Windshield molding and seal
The 17″ Cup II wheels were refinished in silver in March 2022 and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 205/50 up front and 255/40 out back. Koni dampers and H&R springs are fitted along with a Rennline front strut tower brace. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The power height-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Cashmere leather and complemented by a black dashboard. Additional interior equipment includes a short shifter, a CDR-210 stereo, cruise control, air conditioning, and Rennline pedal covers. The driver’s airbag assembly was replaced in August 2019 and the air-conditioning system was serviced in May 2022. Wear is visible on the shifter, driver’s seat, and left-rear seat.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 111k miles, approximately 38k of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. A Fabspeed Motorsport airbox cover is fitted. The drive belts were replaced in September 2018, the alternator was replaced in April 2019, and an oil change and an engine compression test was performed and the valve cover gaskets were replaced in May 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller states the flywheel and clutch components were replaced in September 2016.
The underhood options sticker reveals the following information:
- L80K – Guards Red paint
- LC – Cashmere and black partial leather
- 220 – Limited-slip differential with 40% lock
- 224 – Automatic brake differential (ABD)
- 233 – Internal production code related to tires
- 398 – 17″ wheels
- 454 – Cruise control
- 650 – Sunroof
- 688 – Becker Porsche CDR-210 CD stereo
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration, service, and emissions inspection history in Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. A manufacturer voluntary service action was issued for the engine wiring harness in January 2003.
