This 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is finished in Astral Silver Metallic over blue upholstery and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a blue soft top, 14″ Bundt wheels, fog lights, central locking, power windows, air conditioning, and a Becker AM/FM stereo. The seller acquired the car in July 2017 and has since added approximately 3k of the 40k miles shown. This R107 is now offered with service records, literature, spare parts, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Astral Silver Metallic (735) and features a color-matched removable hardtop with a heated rear window as well as a blue convertible soft top. Additional features include front fog lights, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. Corrosion is noted near the left-rear tire, and a ding can be seen on the right door.
The 14″ Bundt wheels are wrapped in 215/70 Michelin Harmony tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features two bucket seats trimmed in blue upholstery along with a matching dashboard and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, central locking, a Becker Europa stereo, and power windows.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.5-liter M117 V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
