This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in red over Oyster leather and is powered by a 350ci L48 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes removable body-color roof panels, 15″ aluminum wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, power steering, power windows, and a factory AM/FM cassette stereo. The car was sold new at Mike Gage Chevrolet of Broomfield, Colorado, and was reportedly purchased by the seller from the family of the original owner in 2017. Service under current ownership included installing new tires and replacing the battery, brake pads and calipers, and the radiator. This Corvette shows 48k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, a copy of the dealer invoice, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in red (83) and features front and rear spoilers, body-color removable roof panels, vented front fenders, and dual exhaust outlets. The power antenna is said to have been recently replaced. Blemishes consist of stone chips and cracks in the finish, and additional imperfections are shown up close in the gallery.
Factory 15″ cast aluminum wheels are mounted with 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires which were reportedly installed in 2018. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. Recent service included replacing the brake pads and calipers as well as the front sway bar bushings.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in Oyster Leather (122) with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a factory AM/FM cassette stereo, power windows, a tilt steering column, and a rear window defroster. The power door locks do not work, the driver’s door does not lock, and the radio power knob works intermittently. Blemishes in the upholstery are shown in the gallery.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer. An analog clock and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, approximately 75 of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci L48 V8 was rated at 190 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque for the 1980 model year. The battery was replaced in March 2021 and the radiator and valve cover gaskets were replaced in preparation for the sale. An oil change was also carried out. The engine stampings are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underbody photos are available in the gallery.
An invoice copy shows factory equipment, delivery to Mike Gage Chevrolet, and a total price of $12,193.26.
