This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Silver Blue over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ turbine-style wheels, concealed headlights, power steering, an aftermarket Corvette-branded radio, aftermarket kick-panel speakers, a heater, and an air-conditioning system. The car is said to have spent time in Wisconsin, California, and Tennessee prior to its acquisition by the seller in August 2019, when it was relocated to Indiana. This C2 coupe is now offered with a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The fiberglass body is finished in Silver Blue (912) and features flip-up headlamps, fender vents, chrome bumperettes, bright rocker-panel trim, a driver’s side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear valance.
The 15″ turbine-style wheels are wrapped in Coker Classic tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The steering gearbox is said to have been replaced in March 2020.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, and lap belts. An air conditioning system was installed along with an aftermarket stereo and kick-panel speakers. A tear is noted in the passenger seat.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, although it has reportedly rolled over. Approximately 1,200 miles were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 was rated at 300 horsepower when new.
The engine code and serial number are shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Decoding the trim tag reveals:
- F19 – February 19, 1964 build date
- Style 837 – 1964 Corvette coupe
- Body – St. Louis body number
- Trim STD – Black vinyl upholstery
- Paint 912 – Silver Blue
