This 1990 Honda Pilot FL400R is an enclosed single-seat ATV that was first sold by Honda of Medford in Oregon and was acquired by the seller in October 2021. It is powered by a 397cc two-stroke single mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and features a red-finished roll cage, frame, and bodywork. Equipment includes a single blue plastic seat, a four-point harness, a whip antenna, an air snorkel, a rear disc brake, 10″ steel wheels, front and rear lighting, hand-operated throttle and brake controls, and both pull and electric starters. This FL400R is offered at no reserve in Nevada for off-road use only with an owner’s manual, a service manual, a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin, dealership sales paperwork, two keys, and a bill of sale.
The Pilot rides on a 62″ wheelbase, and it features a tube frame finished in red with matching plastic bodywork as well as blue and red vinyl graphics. Equipment includes a roll cage, a roof panel, a rear skid plate, a front bumper, a tail light, a whip antenna, dual mirrors, and headlights with brush guards. The seller notes scuffs in the plastic bodywork.
White-finished 10″ steel wheels wear older Ohtsu H-Trak R/T tires. Suspension consists of double A-arms at all four corners as well as rear shocks with remote-mounted reservoirs. Braking is handled by dual drums up front and a single disc at the rear.
The cockpit is equipped with an adjustable blue plastic seat with a color-coordinated four-point harness. A gear lever with positions for forward, neutral, and reverse along with an automotive-style parking brake lever flank the driver. A spare drive belt is attached to the right side of the frame.
A center-mounted steering yoke is equipped with two blue straps and contains a row of indicator lights as well as run, headlight, and start switches, while the choke and key ignition are located below the steering column. The throttle is controlled via a thumb paddle, with individual master cylinders and hand levers actuating the front and rear brakes. No instrumentation is present, and total mileage is unknown.
The liquid-cooled 397cc two-stroke single is equipped with a radiator and an electric fan. Features include an air snorkel, a high-mounted exhaust system with heat shields, and both pull and electric starters.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a continuously-variable automatic transmission with forward, neutral, and reverse gears.
Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
An owner’s manual, a service manual, a Honda certificate of origin, dealership sales paperwork, and two keys will accompany the ATV.
This Pilot FL400R does not have a title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale.
