This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was sold new by Prestwood Ford Sales of Lafayette, Georgia in November 1968. The car has been refinished in green over black, and its 428ci Cobra Jet V8 is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a 9″ rear end, 15″ wheels, front disc brakes, power-assisted steering, dual exhaust, a rear wing, an aftermarket steering wheel, a console, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The color was changed under previous ownership, and the seller acquired the car in late 2021. This Mach 1 is now offered in Arizona with a removed steering wheel, a Deluxe Marti report, and a Texas title.

Delivered new in Acapulco Blue (65), the car is said to have been refinished in Silver Jade under previous ownership. Features include a black hood and trunk-lid treatment, black and gold Mach 1 side decals, a rear wing, and a dual exhaust system that terminates through the rear valance. In late 2021 the windshield wipers were repaired.

Magnum 500–style wheels are mounted with FR70-15 Firestone Wide Oval white-letter tires. The steering is power assisted, and the car is equipped with disc brakes up front.

The high-back bucket seats and folding rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl, and woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, console, and door panels. An AM/FM push-button radio is located in the center stack.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer with red hash marks after 70 mph and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the seller.

The Q-code 428ci Cobra Jet V8 was rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque when new. Features include a Holley carburetor, dual exhaust, a chrome-finished air cleaner, and chrome “Powered by Ford” valve covers.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear axle. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.

The Deluxe Marti report lists the color scheme, factory equipment, build statistics, and a production date of October 17, 1968.

There is currently a lien on this car, and the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.
