This 2006 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Diamond Silver Metallic over gray leather upholstery. Equipment includes 19″ two-piece AMG wheels, a power-retractable hardtop, an Active Body Control suspension, bi-xenon headlights, Keyless Go, heated and ventilated multi-contour seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. The car was registered in Florida and New Jersey before being acquired by the seller in 2017. This R230 SL65 AMG has 67k miles and is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Diamond Silver Metallic and features a power-folding convertible hardtop. Additional equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, fender air vents, a black-finished rear spoiler and badging, and AMG bodywork including a revised front spoiler, side skirts, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The Carfax report shows an accident in a November 2008 entry in which damage was sustained to the front of the vehicle as well as an accident in a June 2021 entry that involved “front or rear impact”. The windshield was replaced in May 2022. Scrapes are noted on the underside of the front bumper cover.
Gray-finished 19″ two-piece alloy wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 285/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires that show 2018 production date codes. The car features Active Body Control suspension as well as electronic stability control, Automatic Slip Control (ASR), and an AMG High Performance Braking System with cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin features heated and ventilated multi-contour seats upholstered in gray leather, while burl wood trim accents the center console and door panels. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a wind deflector, Keyless Go, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. Wear on the convertible top button can be seen in the gallery below.
A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 67k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership.
The twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter M275 V12 features a carbon-fiber engine cover and was factory rated at 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. A Mercedes “A” service was performed in May 2022, at which point the hood struts were replaced, a power drain was repaired, and the starter battery was replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accidents in 2008 and 2021 as well as history in Florida, New Jersey, and Colorado.
