This 2004 Mazda Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata was acquired by the seller on BaT in May 2016 and is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 1.8-liter inline-four mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Velocity Red Mica over black and red upholstery, the car is equipped with a black soft top, factory 17″ Racing Hart wheels, air conditioning, power windows, a Bose audio system with a CD changer, a Turbosmart boost controller, and a Flyin’ Miata intake and intercooler. The car has spent time in Ohio, West Virginia, and Tennessee, and now has 44k miles. This Mazdaspeed Miata is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Tennessee title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Velocity Red Mica (27A) and equipment includes Mazdaspeed headlights with smoked housings, a rear spoiler, a single polished exhaust outlet, and a black soft top with a heated glass rear window. Scratches can be seen on the bottom of the front bumper, and a spot of touch-up paint is noted on one of the fenders.
Factory 17″ Racing Hart wheels are mounted with 205/40 Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires. Standard equipment includes a front strut tower brace along with a tuned and lowered suspension featuring Bilstein dampers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. Curb damage is visible on the wheels.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black cloth with red inserts and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels. Mazdaspeed-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, stainless steel door sills, aluminum pedals, a rearview mirror with Mazdaspeed script and a red-finished cap, and a factory Bose audio system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 44k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller.
The 1.8-liter BP-4W inline-four was factory turbocharged for the Mazdaspeed model and has been modified with a Flyin’ Miata intake and intercooler as well as a Turbosmart boost controller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ohio and Tennessee through the most recent entry in June 2020.
