This 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 coupe is powered by a replacement 463ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is said to have been refurbished in metallic dark green over dark green vinyl upholstery prior to being acquired by the seller in February 2020. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, chrome bumpers, 15″ Cragar wheels, and front disc brakes as well as an Edelbrock carburetor, intake manifold, and air intake. This 442 is offered with a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in metallic dark green during previous ownership and features bright trim on the windshield, windows, rocker panels, and wheel arches. Additional Details include chrome bumpers, chrome body-side scoops with tri-color 442 badges, and dual polished exhaust finishers.
Polished Cragar SS 15″ wheels are wrapped in 235/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Braking power is provided by cross-drilled vented rotors up front and drums at the rear.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in dark green vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes black 442-embossed carpeted floor mats, embossed 442 logos on the front seat backs, front vent windows, front lap belts, a Hurst shifter, and an AM radio, the latter of which the seller notes as being inoperable.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a a column-mounted tachometer with a 5,500-rpm tachometer. A trio of aftermarket gauges is mounted below the dashboard, and the five-digit odometer shows 70k miles, approximately 250 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 463ci V8 features Edlebrock valve covers, a polished air filter cover, a Demon carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, and solid lifters. The seller notes that the exhaust system was replaced under prior ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential that is equipped with a Summit Racing aluminum cover.
Decoding the body plate identification tag reveals that the car was built the first week of March 1965 in Lansing, Michigan and that was finished in Forrest Mist paint and trimmed in dark green upholstery.
