This 1996 Acura Integra GS-R has been registered in Texas since new and was acquired by the seller in 2021. Power is provided by a 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Work performed during current ownership is noted to include refinishing the car in green, servicing the fluids and brakes, and replacing the timing belt, water pump, distributor, engine mounts, trailing arm bushings, and trim pieces. The interior is upholstered in taupe leather and equipment includes a glass sunroof, a rear spoiler, alloy 15″ wheels, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo. This DC2 GS-R shows 157k miles and is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Cypress Green Pearl (G82P), the car is said to have been repainted following bodywork to remove dents and hail damage during prior ownership. Features include a glass sunroof, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, a rear wiper, and tinted windows. The roof and beltline moldings along with the badging, power antenna, taillight gaskets, and rear hatch lift supports are said to have been replaced. Photos in the gallery below show discoloration on the rear window moldings.
Alloy 15″ “Daisy” wheels were specific to the GS-R and are mounted with 195/55 Kumho Ecsta PA31 tires showing 2021 production date codes. The car is equipped with a front strut tower brace and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The seller reports the power steering pump was resealed, the steering gear, brake pads, rotors, trailing arm bushings, and outer tie rods were replaced, and brake and power steering fluid flushes were performed during current ownership. The anti-lock brake system has been disabled.
The cabin features bucket seats, a rear bench, and a center console armrest upholstered in taupe leather. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows and locks. The cassette stereo and seat belts were replaced and Pioneer speakers are said to have been installed during current ownership. The rearview mirror is delaminating, the trunk floor panel is missing, the headliner is discolored, and the driver’s window switch is loose. Photos in the gallery below show discoloration on the parking brake handle and stains on the carpets along with scratches and mounting holes on the lower dashboard.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline and a 150-mph speedometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 157k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership.
The 1.8-liter B18C1 inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. The coolant, transmission fluid, and oil were changed, a valve adjustment and ignition system tune-up were performed, and the oil pump was resealed along with the VTEC solenoid, per the seller. The following components are said to have been replaced during current ownership:
- Timing belt and water pump assembly
- Distributor and battery
- Engine mounts
- Valve cover and oil pan gaskets
- Camshaft plug
- Crankcase breather and internal VTEC O-rings
- Radiator, heater, and coolant bypass hoses
- Engine air filter
- Clutch hydraulic cylinders
- Axle shafts and seals
Power is delivered to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas since new.
