This 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II was acquired by the seller’s brother in 2006 following approximately two decades of storage. It is finished in Dover White over a two-tone blue interior and is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 1.3-liter Wankel rotary paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a power sunroof, pop-up headlights, a hood scoop, 16” alloy wheels, air conditioning, and a cassette radio with a graphic equalizer. This FC Turbo II was previously listed on BaT in April 2022 and is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of his brother with an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title.
The car is finished in Dover White (WU) and features pop-up headlights, a hood scoop, a retractable sunroof, a rear windshield wiper, a rear wing, and dual exhaust outlets. The right-rear quarter panel was reportedly repaired after an accident during prior ownership. Spots of burned paint and signs of paint blending are noted on the roof, and cracks are present on the lower bodywork below the side moldings. Paint meter readings from around the car and close-up images of blemishes are available in the gallery.
Factory 16” alloy wheels are mounted with 205/55 Bridgestone Potenza RE980 AS tires. The brakes were reportedly serviced following the vehicle’s removal from storage around 2006.
The cabin houses front bucket seats that are trimmed in two-tone blue cloth along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer, a locking glove compartment, power windows, and cruise control.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for boost pressure, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 3,400 miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The turbocharged and intercooled 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine was factory rated at 182 horsepower and 183 lb-ft of torque. The seller states the battery was replaced in 2021 and a replacement fuel pump and tank lining kit were installed in 2022. Under current ownership, it is reported that the apex seals were lubed and the spark plugs were replaced. Fluids were changed in June 2020 according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Corrosion is noted on the underbody, and additional images are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Virginia from its first update in 1991. An Exceeds Mechanical Limits Title was issued for the vehicle in error and later corrected.
