This 2008 BMW M6 convertible is powered by a 5.0-liter V10 paired with a seven-speed SMG transmission and is finished in Silverstone Metallic over Silverstone Merino leather. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 19″ Style 167M alloy wheels, Dynamic Stability Control with M Dynamic Mode, Park Distance Control, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable front seats, Comfort Access, a head-up display, iDrive with navigation, automatic climate control, and cruise control. The current owner acquired the car in 2017, and work performed since then has included fluid changes and replacement tires, ignition coils, spark plugs, and thrust arm bushings. This E64 M6 has 43k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car is finished in Silverstone Metallic and features a black convertible soft top as well as M-specific body styling. Additional equipment includes adaptive xenon headlights, Shadowline trim, front and rear parking sensors, front fender vents with M6 badging, and quad exhaust outlets.
Staggered-width 19″ Style 167M alloy wheels are mounted with 255/40 front and 285/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires that were installed in April 2018. The M6 featured revised suspension geometry and stiffer bushings front and rear when compared to the standard 6-Series and was also factory equipped with Electronic Damping Control, Dynamic Stability Control, and M Dynamic Mode. Braking is handled by four-wheel vented and cross-drilled rotors measuring 14.7″ and 14.6″ front and rear, respectively. The thrust arm bushings were also replaced in April 2018, and the brake fluid was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front sport seats upholstered in Silverstone Merino leather that extends to the center console and door panel inserts. Carbon-fiber trim adorns the dash and console, and amenities include driver’s seat position memory, Comfort Access, a head-up display, iDrive with navigation, satellite radio connectivity, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and paddle shifters and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter S85B50 V10 was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The ignition coils and spark plugs were reportedly replaced under current ownership, and an oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SMG sequential transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage and shows registration history in Florida and Pennsylvania.
