This 2005 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Charcoal leather. Equipment includes black 18″ AMG double-spoke wheels, a sunroof, Parktronic, bi-xenon headlights, Keyless Go, COMAND with navigation, a Bose sound system, and heated, ventilated, and powered seating. The current owner acquired the car in February 2022 and has since added approximately 3k of the 106k miles. This W220 S55 AMG is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the manufacturer’s literature, service records, a car cover, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The S55 AMG featured deeper front and rear valances and sill extensions when compared with the standard W220, and this example is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with heated washers as well as a sunroof, front and rear Parktronic parking sensors, door and trunk closing assist, an AMG Sport exhaust system with quad outlets, and auto-dimming side-view mirrors with integrated signal lighting. The left side mirror trim is peeling, and the rubber of the left-front door handle button is missing. Chips and scratches can be seen on multiple surfaces in close-up photos below.
The black 18″ AMG double-spoke wheels are mounted with 245/45 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot sports tires. The car is equipped with an Active Body Control (ABC) suspension and AMG-branded multi-piston calipers over cross-drilled brake rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features heated and ventilated 14-way power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Charcoal leather. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Keyless Go, an electric rear window shade, a Bose sound system, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and heated and ventilated rear seats with electronic seatbacks. The driver’s seat ventilation feature does not work.
The multi-function steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, an AMG-branded 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 106k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The supercharged 5.4-liter V8 was factory rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes noise from the supercharger clutch.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside can be viewed in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California.
