This Factory Five Racing Mk1 Roadster is a carbon fiber-bodied Cobra replica that was assembled in 2001 and acquired by the seller in 2016. It is finished in gray over a black interior and is powered by a 408ci Stroker V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a Holley carburetor, a black center stripe, a chrome roll hoop, a hood scoop, side exhaust pipes, 17” Halibrand-style wheels, a Kenwood head unit, a woodgrain dashboard, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This Factory Five Cobra replica is now offered with build records and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name, listing the car as a 1965 Cobra.
The carbon-fiber body is finished in gray with a black patterned center stripe. Exterior features include a chrome roll hoop, front and rear bumperettes, a chrome rear oval bumper hoop, driver-side mirror, hood scoop, fender vents, wind wings, and powder-coated side exhaust pipes. A chrome front bumper hoop and a car cover are said to be included in the sale. Close-up photos of imperfections are shown in the gallery.
Halibrand-style 17” wheels are said to have been installed in April 2022 and are mounted with Riken Raptor tires that measure 245/45 up front and 275/40 out back. The car is equipped with an independent rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin houses low-back bucket seats that are trimmed in black upholstery and fitted with Simpson racing harnesses. The woodgrain dash features a Cobra emblem on the passenger side and amenities include a Kenwood head unit, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, Cobra floor mats, a Russ Thompson turn signal system, and a fire extinguisher mounted between the seats. A Pioneer amplifier is found in the trunk, and the removed sun visors are included in the sale.
A three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts instrumentation consisting of a tachometer and a reverse-sweep speedometer, while auxiliary gauges are mounted on the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 291 miles, approximately 75 of which were added by the seller.
The Windsor V8 is reportedly fitted with a 408ci stroker kit, a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock Reformer RPM intake manifold, JE pistons, Manley Performance pushrods, a competition camshaft, a steel crankshaft, aluminum pulleys, and Ford Motorsport rockers. The seller states that the carburetor was rebuilt and an oil change was performed in April 2022. An oil leak is noted.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission and a differential with 3.70:1 gearing. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
