This 2004 Porsche 911 coupe is #482 of 1,963 40th Anniversary Edition models produced, and it is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Natural Gray special leather. It is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is equipped with the X51 Powerkit, a Fister exhaust system, and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a sports suspension, 18” Carrera II wheels, xenon headlights, integrated fog lights, a sunroof, a short-shift kit, heated power-adjustable seats, a Bose sound system, a Becker-Porsche CDR23 stereo, a CD changer, and automatic climate control. The seller acquired the car in February 2020 and has since added approximately 1,900 of the 72k indicated miles. An LN Engineering IMS-bearing solution kit has been installed. This 40th Anniversary 996 is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
All 40th Anniversary Edition examples were finished in GT Silver Metallic (LM7Z) and were equipped with a “Turbo-style” front bumper with enlarged cooling ducts, Aerokit side skirts, and specific rear badging as well as a sunroof, an automatically deploying rear spoiler, xenon headlights, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, and polished exhaust outlets. Close-up photographs of imperfections are shown in the gallery below.
The 18” Carrera II wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport N3 tires showing date codes from 2018. All 40th Anniversary cars were equipped with a sports suspension as well as cross-drilled brake rotors and black-finished calipers.
The cabin features power-adjustable and heated front seats upholstered in Natural Gray leather that extends to the dashboard and door panels. Features include a Becker-Porsche CDR23 stereo, a remote six-disc CD changer, a Bose sound system, a short-shift kit, automatic climate control, and cruise control. Lloyds floor mats have been added, and the key fobs do not work. A replacement key fob is included in the sale.
A serialized plaque located on the center console identifies this as #482 in the 40 Jahre limited edition. Instrumentation is accented by silver rings, and the digital odometer indicates 72k miles, approximately 1,900 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.6-liter M96/03S flat-six is equipped with the X51 Powerkit, which added revised intake and exhaust manifolds, modified camshaft profiles and engine management software, and improved cooling for a factory-rated output of 345 horsepower. The seller notes that an LN Engineering IMS-bearing solution kit was installed in March 2018, and the battery was replaced in January 2022. Other recent work included replacing the water pump, thermostat, and engine belt in January 2021. An image of a DME report is shown in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The clutch and flywheel were reportedly replaced in March 2018, and a Fister exhaust system has been installed.
Decoding the option sticker reveals the following information:
