This 1984 Jeep CJ-7 is finished in red over matching upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a tan soft top and doors, a black-finished grille, bumpers, and trim, a Warn rear bumper with a receiver hitch, 15″ wheels with 31″ tires, locking front hubs, a heater, and a Philips stereo connected to Bose speakers. The truck spent time in Florida, the Carolinas, and Kentucky before being acquired by the seller in December 2016. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included refreshing the front suspension and steering in addition to replacing ignition components. This CJ-7 is offered at no reserve with a tan bikini top, removed factory parts, manufacturer’s literature, a cover, a Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The truck was refinished in red under previous ownership and fitted with a 1″ body lift. Equipment includes a tan canvas soft top and doors, a fold-down windshield, wheel arch extensions, a black-finished grille and rocker trim, a short antenna, LED headlights, dual side mirrors, and a Warn rear bumper with a receiver hitch. The rubber fuel filler surround was reportedly replaced, and a dent is noted on the left side of the hood above the fender. The removed factory headlights are included in the sale along with a tan bikini top.
Black-finished 15″ Eagle Alloys wheels are wrapped in 31×10.5″ Pro-Comp A/T Sport tires with 2019 date codes. A full-size spare is mounted to a hinged bracket at the rear. The front axle is equipped with manually locking hubs, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The front suspension was reportedly refreshed with a replacement steering stabilizer, bushings, leaf springs, and KYB gas shocks.
The interior features high-backed front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in red vinyl with a matching upper dashboard. Amenities include a heater, a locking center console and glovebox, a roll bar, cupholders, Rugged Ridge all-weather mats, and a Philips stereo with USB connectivity linked to rear-mounted Bose speakers. Discoloration is visible on the outer portion of the driver’s seat.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 139k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes a mileage inconsistency in April 2018. The steering column is said to have been rebuilt under current ownership, and the horn and windshield washer system are not functional.
The 4.2-liter inline-six engine is equipped with a Holley carburetor, and components replaced since 2021 reportedly include the battery, PCV valve, distributor cap and rotor, and the spark plugs, and the plug wires. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Corrosion is visible on underbody components, and additional photos showing the suspension, chassis, and driveline are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage along with history in Florida, the Carolinas, Kentucky, and Virginia, and the aforementioned mileage inconsistency from April 2018.
