This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 240D is finished in white over blue MB-Tex and is powered by a 2.4-liter diesel inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Purchased by the seller in 2013, the car is equipped with 14″ wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Becker push-button AM/FM radio. Service in early 2022 included a cleaning of the fuel tank and lines. This Mercedes 240D shows 89k miles and is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Classic White (737U) and features chrome-accented bumpers and trim. Equipment includes a power-retractable antenna and yellow-tinted driving lights. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at all four corners.
Steel 14″ wheels wear polished covers with body-color painted centers that show oxidation and pitting. The wheels are mounted with 185/70 Michelin Harmony tires showing 2006 date codes.
The interior is upholstered in Blue MB-Tex (152) with matching carpets and door panels, and wood trim accents the center console and dashboard. Amenities include cruise control, a push-button Becker AM/FM radio, a power-adjustable passenger side mirror, and central locking.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 89k miles.
The 2.4-liter OM616 diesel inline-four was factory rated at 71 horsepower and 101 lb-ft of torque. Service in early 2022 included cleaning the fuel tank and lines.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
