We loved them as all-terrain cycles (ATCs; three-wheelers) until those were outlawed. Then we loved them as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs: four-wheelers). These came in all shapes and sizes, with Honda being the dominant player. But Yamaha, Suzuki, and others kept things interesting on the race grids and sand dunes. They paved the way for the modern day side-by-side and UTV categories.
