This 1990 Honda CB-1 is powered by a liquid-cooled 399cc inline-four mated to a six-speed transmission and finished in blue over a silver tubular frame. Equipment includes a stepped two-up seat, clip-on handlebars, rearsets, cast-alloy wheels, disc brakes, and a four-into-one exhaust system. The bike is said to have been initially acquired by the seller in 2006, sold in 2008, and bought back in 2016. Service in 2020 reportedly included flushing the brake fluid and replacing the tires, cush-drive rubbers, brake pads, and fork seals. The carburetors are said to have been rebuilt in 2021. This 1990 CB-1 is now offered at no reserve with service records and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The 3.9-gallon fuel tank, front fender, and tail section are finished in blue over a silver-finished tubular steel frame. Equipment includes street lighting, dual mirrors, lift-assist handles with attached luggage strap hooks, and a side stand as well as a black stepped two-up seat with a grab strap. Chips, scratches, and repairs in the bodywork are noted by the seller, photos of which can be viewed in the gallery below.
Aluminum alloy 17″ wheels wear 110/70 front and 140/70 rear Bridgestone Battlax BT45 tires. Suspension consists of a 41mm telescopic fork as well as a preload-adjustable monoshock mounted to a square-section steel swingarm. Braking is from single discs at both ends. Service in 2020 is said to have included replacing the front and rear brake pads, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the fork seals and tires.
Black clip-on handlebars are mounted above the top triple clamp, which carries an instrument panel containing a 115-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 13,500-rpm redline and an inset coolant temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, approximately 2k of which were ridden by the seller.
The liquid-cooled 399cc gear-driven DOHC inline-four features an electric starter, four valves per cylinder, four constant-velocity carburetors, and a four-into-one exhaust system. Factory-rated output was 55 horsepower and 29 lb-ft of torque. The carburetors are said to have been overhauled in 2021. Scratches are noted on the left side cover.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a wet multi-disc clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain. The cush-drive rubbers were reportedly replaced in May 2020.
