This 1994 Mazda RX-7 is a Canadian-market example that was purchased by the seller in 1998, and it now has 69k kilometers (~43k miles). The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Finished in metallic gray over black leather upholstery, it is equipped with a limited-slip differential, a stainless-steel down-pipe, a Racing Beat muffler, 17″ ROH wheels, fixed-place aftermarket headlights, front and rear spoilers, a sunroof, air conditioning, and a Bose CD and cassette stereo. Work since 2018 is said to have included an overhaul of the engine and replacement of the battery, spark plugs, primary fuel injectors, and ignition coils. This FD RX-7 is offered in Canada with a clean Carfax report and Newfoundland and Labrador registration in the seller’s name.
Originally Silver Stone Metallic, the car is said to have been repainted to metallic gray in 2012. Features include aftermarket fixed-place headlights, a front spoiler, a ducktail-style rear spoiler, a 1999-specification front bumper cover, fender vents, a sunroof, front and rear mudguards, and dual exhaust outlets.
Polished 17″ ROH five-spoke wheels wear 235/45 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. The suspension features a double-wishbone setup, while braking is handled by four-wheel discs with red-painted calipers.
The cabin features manually-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional appointments include carbon-fiber trim, driver and passenger airbags, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and a Bose stereo with CD and cassette players.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 280-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Aftermarket readouts for boost and coolant temperature have been added to the driver-side A-pillar. The digital odometer indicates 69k kilometers (~43k miles), approximately 23k of which were added by the seller.
The twin-turbocharged 1.3L 13B-REW two-rotor Wankel was overhauled in 2018, at which time the rotor housings, apex seals, corner seals, springs, and ignition coil harness were replaced. The seller states that a stainless-steel down-pipe was also installed and the battery, spark plugs, primary fuel injectors, and ignition coils were replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A replacement stainless-steel flywheel and clutch assembly have reportedly been installed, and the exhaust has been fitted with a Racing Beat muffler.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Canada and New York through its most recent entry in May 2019.
