This 2004 Porsche Boxster S is #509 of 1,953 examples produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Porsche’s 550 Spyder and it is finished in GT Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery. Power comes from a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 18″ Carrera wheels, a speed-activated rear spoiler, xenon headlamps, sport suspension, a Bose sound system, automatic climate control, cruise control, and heated power-adjustable sport seats. The car was first registered in Illinois and spent time in Louisiana and Florida before it was acquired by the current owner in December 2014. This Boxster S 550 Anniversary Edition shows 29k miles and is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with manufacturer’s literature, two sets of keys, a tool kit, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the owner’s name.
The 550 Anniversary Edition featured revised bumper covers, body-color side air intakes, xenon headlights, and stacked center exhaust outlets, and all examples were finished in GT Silver Metallic. Additional exterior details include a black power-operated convertible soft top, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and body-color roll hoops. Paint imperfections can be viewed up close in the gallery below.
The 18″ Carrera wheels feature gray-finished spokes and are wrapped in Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 out back. The car is equipped with sport suspension and Porsche Stability Management, and braking is handled by silver four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable sport seats trimmed in black leather along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a Bose sound system, a CD stereo, automatic climate control, and cruise control. A serialized plate on the painted center console denotes the car as #509 of 1,953 Anniversary Edition examples produced. The seller notes that the amplifier is inoperable and the stereo knobs have been replaced.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 29k miles, approximately 12k of which were added during current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.2L flat-six was factory rated at 264 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. A single-row IMS bearing was installed in January 2015, and an oil change was performed in November 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Illinois, Louisiana, and Florida.
