This 1967 Datsun 2000 Roadster was acquired by the seller in 2002 and later underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that was completed in 2010. Work at that time included overhauling the replacement 2.0-liter inline-four, refinishing the bodywork in red, and replacing the black soft top. Equipment includes 15″ Panasport wheels, dual Solex carburetors, chrome bumpers and trim, an aluminum radiator, a stainless-steel muffler, and a driver-side door mirror. This 2000 Roadster is now offered with spare parts, an owner’s manual, a Datsun service manual, service and refurbishment records, brochures, and a clean Delaware title in the seller’s name.
The body was disassembled and repaired prior to a repaint in red while the bumpers and brightwork trim were chrome-plated. Front bumper overriders are not installed but are included in the sale. The seller notes stone chips and scratches in the wheel wells. Photos detailing the bodywork can be viewed in the gallery.
Panasport 15″ wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. Braking comes from discs up front and drums at the rear. The seller notes that the brakes have been overhauled and that additional work included fitting Koni shocks and replacing the inner tie-rod end rubber boots and outer tie-rod ends.
The cockpit features high-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a glovebox, a centrally mounted clock, crank windows, and lap belts. Tears and patches are noted on the seat bolsters, and the radio has been removed. A replacement carpet set is included with the sale.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge with readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. The seller notes that the coolant temperature and fuel level gauges are inoperable. The five-digit odometer shows 34k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 2.0-liter inline-four is said to have been overhauled under current ownership, and it features dual twin-throat Solex carburetors and an aluminum radiator.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
Service records, an owner’s manual, brochures, and a collection of spare parts are included in the sale.
