This 1948 Willys-Overland Jeepster is powered by a 134ci inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, black upholstery, chrome hubcaps, vent windows, and a 12-volt electrical system. The Jeep was acquired by the seller in 2010, and subsequent work included repainting the exterior in two-tone red and black as well as replacing the carpets and fuel tank. This Jeepster is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in red with black upper trim in 2017, and photos showing the repainted process are provided in the gallery. Equipment includes a black soft top with an open rear window, a color-coordinated top boot, a split windshield, a cowl vent, and access steps for the rear seats. The seller notes that the wipers are inoperative and that the soft top has split seams.
Steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and white-stripe tires, and a spare is mounted out back and protected by a cover. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes.
The cabin features a split front and a rear bench trimmed in black upholstery, and replacement black carpets were installed during current ownership. The truck is equipped with vent windows and sun visors.
Instrumentation set in an engine-turned panel includes an 80-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, approximately 3k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 134ci “Hurricane” inline-four was rated at 75 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque when new. Service during current ownership included replacing the fuel tank and converting the electrical system to 12-volt capacity.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The truck is equipped with an overdrive unit, though the seller states it is inoperative.
The body tag is shown above. The current Florida title lists a VIN of 631580168.
