This 1965 MG MGB roadster is finished in red over black and powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Features include a black soft top, a multimedia stereo, an oil cooler, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, twin SU carburetors, chrome bumpers, bright trim, and 14″ wire-spoke wheels. The car was acquired by the seller in March 2022 and subsequently received a repaint along with trunk carpeting and an oil changed. Work carried out by its prior owner reportedly included an interior refresh and installing an aftermarket exhaust system. This MGB is now offered at no reserve by the seller with a tonneau cover and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The exterior was repainted red in March 2022, and exterior features include a black soft top, bright trim, quarter vent windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The lights were reportedly rewired, and a black tonneau cover is included in the sale.
The silver-painted 14″ wire-spoke wheels wear two-ear knock-off hubs and are mounted with 185/75 Hankook Kinergy ST tires. A full-size spare is housed in the trunk, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The replacement black vinyl seat covers were said to be fitted in 2020 under prior ownership and are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a locking glove compartment, a carpeted rear parcel shelf, lap belts, and a multimedia Bluetooth-enabled stereo. The trunk carpet was replaced under current ownership.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The gauges were reportedly overhauled under prior ownership. The five-digit odometer shows 404 miles, 30 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.8-liter inline-four is equipped with an oil cooler, twin SU carburetors, and the replacement exhaust system is said to have been installed in 2018. The oil was changed in March 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The Arizona title lists a VIN of GHN3L694193, which includes an additional middle “9” digit compared to the reproduction tag attached to the inner right fender.
