This 1989 Ferrari Mondial T cabriolet is finished in Rosso Corsa over tan leather and powered by a 3.4-liter V8 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a black soft top, a gated shifter, air conditioning, power windows, and a Yamaha cassette stereo. The car spent time in several states before being acquired by the seller in 2021, and the tires were replaced under current ownership. This Mondial T cabriolet shows 33k miles and is now offered in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s business.
The Mondial T features revised bumper covers, wheel arches, and body-color door handles compared to the contemporary Mondial. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a black soft top, pop-up headlights, side air intakes, Pininfarina badging, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists entries in July 1993 that indicate the car was stolen, damaged in an accident, and recovered, with no further information provided. A tear in the soft top is shown in the gallery below.
Factory 16″ alloy wheels wear BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 tires that were mounted in July 2021. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS, and the car is equipped with an adjustable suspension system with two settings.
The 2+2 cabin features tan leather upholstery on the seats, center console, and lower door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, a gated shifter, and a Yamaha cassette stereo. Wear on the driver’s seat can be viewed in the gallery below.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 200 of which were added during current ownership.
The 3.4-liter F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic fuel injection and drives the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The catalytic converters have been removed. Work performed in 2016 reportedly included servicing the alternator, electrical components, and fuel injectors, as well as replacing the timing belt, tensioner bearings, water pump, camshaft and front main seals, intermediate shaft bearings, drive belts, engine gaskets and hoses, spark plugs, and oxygen sensors. The seller states that a 30k-mile service was performed in March 2021.
Manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a battery tender are included in the sale, along with a factory tool kit stored in a leather case.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned theft and accident in 1993, and lists registration history in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Texas, and Montana, with entries beginning in 1993.
