This 1969 Porsche 912 Targa has been refinished in orange over black upholstery, and its 1.6-liter flat-four is paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include a removable Targa roof panel, bucket seats, a cassette player, a Dansk muffler, and chrome-finished 15″ wheels with hubcaps. The car spent time in California before it was acquired in 2007 by the seller, who has since added approximately 2k miles. Recent service included rebuilding the carburetors, changing the oil, flushing the brakes, and replacing the brake hoses and battery. This 912 Targa is now offered with an owner’s manual and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s museum.
The car was ordered in Tangerine (6809) and was repainted in 2008. Features include “sugar scoop” headlight assemblies, rocker moldings, rear reflectors, and a silver roll hoop with gold Targa badging. The removable Targa roof panel is pictured in the gallery separate from the car, and the rocker panels were recently touched up.
Chrome-finished 15″ steel wheels wear Porsche-crest hubcaps and are mounted with 165-series Michelin XZX tires, one of which has visible sidewall cracking. A full-size spare is stored up front. Recent service is said to have included replacing the brake hoses, flushing the brakes, and performing an alignment.
The interior features bucket seats with headrests as well as bolstered rear jump seats trimmed in black upholstery. Peppered carpeting covers the floors, and a Kenwood cassette stereo has been installed in the factory location. Some of the knobs on the dashboard are cracked, and the visors have been replaced.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a central 7k-rpm tachometer, 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges to monitor oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter flat-four is said to have been serviced by rebuilding the carburetors, changing the oil, and replacing the battery. In June 2022 the carburetors were adjusted.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle, and the car is equipped with a Dansk muffler. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
