This 2001 BMW M3 convertible is finished in Alpine White III over black Nappa leather and is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six linked with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black soft top, 18″ M double-spoke wheels, power-adjustable front seats, a strut-tower brace, and an aftermarket rear spoiler and side skirts. The seller acquired the car in January 2017, and subsequent work included a valve adjustment and replacing the flywheel, VANOS solenoids, valve cover gasket, clutch components, and spark plug tube seals. This E46 M3 is now offered at no reserve with recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Alpine White III and features a black convertible soft top as well as fog lights, black kidney grilles, quad exhaust outlets, and an aftermarket rear spoiler, lower rear bumper trim, and side skirts. The seller reports that the front bumper cover was repainted during their ownership, and records indicate the windshield washer pump and grommet were replaced in 2017.
The 18″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels are mounted with Sumitomo HTR Z III tires measuring 225/45 up front and 255/40 out back. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors.
The cabin is upholstered in black and features Nappa leather seating surfaces complemented by high-gloss black trim. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, driver-seat memory settings, and a BMW Business CD stereo hooked to a Harman Kardon sound system. An auxiliary connection, as well as a Parrot Bluetooth connection have been added to the factory stereo, and the seller notes an intermittently inoperative passenger-seat motor.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 86k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that the rod bearings and DMTL pump have been replaced, and a strut-tower brace is fitted. A valve adjustment was performed in October 2017, and additional components replaced in 2017 included:
- VANOS solenoids
- Valve cover gasket
- Spark plug tube seals
- Sealing plate
- Accessory belt
- Power steering fluid reservoir
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Records indicate the clutch components, pilot bearing, flywheel, flex disc, rear main seal, and transmission mounts were replaced in December 2017.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
