This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Space Gray leather and is powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a deployable rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, a Becker CD stereo, automatic climate control, and cruise control. The current owner acquired the car in 2002 and has since added approximately 18k of the 25k miles. Service in 2021 is said to have included the replacement of the IMS bearing, rear main seal, and clutch components. This 996.1 cabriolet is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature and Rhode Island registration in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a color-matched removable hardtop and a black convertible soft top. Additional features include fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers.
The 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle Sport tires measuring 205/50 up front and 255/45 out back. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded brake calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The colored Porsche-crest center caps are faded.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Space Gray leather that extends to the dashboard and door panels. Features include driver-seat memory settings, carbon-fiber trim, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Becker Porsche CD stereo connected to a Hi-Fi sound system. The lever to open the front trunk is scratched.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is accented with carbon fiber and frames a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 25k miles, approximately 18k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter M96 flat-six was factory rated at 296 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the IMS bearing and rear main seal were replaced and the fluids were changed in September 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing were reportedly replaced in September 2021.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York and Rhode Island through the most recent entry in July 2017. The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
