This 1971 Honda Z50A Mini Trail is powered by a 49cc four-stroke single paired with a three-speed semi-automatic transmission and was refinished in blue with white accents under previous ownership. Features include a two-position height-adjustable seat, a telescopic fork, trail lighting, a side stand, drop-down handlebars, and chrome fenders. The bike was acquired by the seller in 2018, and subsequent maintenance is said to have included lubricating the fork, chain, and control cables. This Z50A is now offered at no reserve in Nevada for off-road use only with a shop manual, a blue California license plate, a dealer license plate frame, and a bill of sale.
The bike was refinished in blue with white accents under previous ownership. Features include a headlight, a taillight, a side stand, a two-position height-adjustable black vinyl seat, a 0.7-gallon fuel tank with a sealable vented filler cap, and a chrome chain guard and fenders.
Multi-piece 8″ steel wheels are finished in silver and wrapped in 3.50″ Bridgestone Trail Wing knobby tires. The bike’s only suspension consists of an inverted front fork with black gaiters. Stopping power is provided by hand lever-operated drum brakes at both ends, and the rear drum can also be actuated via a foot pedal on the right.
A pair of twist-lock knobs permit the curved chrome handlebars to drop and stow for transport or storage. The bike did not come equipped with an odometer or other instrumentation from the factory, therefore true mileage is unknown. The seller estimates having ridden 50 miles during his ownership.
The 49cc horizontal four-stroke single was reportedly overhauled under previous ownership, and it features a kick starter, a 13mm Keihin carburetor with a drain valve for the float bowl, and a high-mounted exhaust equipped with a spark arrestor and slotted chrome heat shields. The seller drained the fuel and oil in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a three-speed semi-automatic transmission and a drive chain. Foot shifting is on the left with neutral at the top and gears one through three down.
The bike is accompanied by a shop manual, a blue California license plate bearing a 1971 registration decal, and a dealer license plate frame for Warren Wilson Honda on Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The bike is offered on a bill of sale for off-road use only.
