This 1988 Ford Bronco XLT spent time in Nevada and California and is said to have spent 10 years in storage prior to the seller’s acquisition in February 2022. The truck was subsequently repainted in white with metallic brown accents, and additional work included replacing the carpets, fluid services, and installing a suspension lift, replacement springs, an MSD ignition, and a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo. Additional features include a removable hardtop, air conditioning, cruise control, a lockable storage console, a receiver hitch, and silver-painted steel wheels. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. This Bronco is now offered with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in white with metallic brown lower surfaces under current ownership. The seller notes that the removable hardtop was also repainted at that time. Exterior equipment includes a receiver hitch, chrome bumper with rubber impact strips, and polished mirrors.
Silver-painted steel wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires all around. The truck is equipped with a Rough Country steering stabilizer and a front quad-shock system. The suspension was raised approximately 4″ inches with replacement front and rear springs and Rough Country shocks under current ownership. An alignment is said to have been performed following the suspension modifications.
The cabin features front buckets seats with adjustable armrests and a rear bench trimmed in patterned tan cloth. Additional interior details include a locking center console with cup holders, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows and door locks. The seller notes that replacement carpets were installed under current ownership along with Bronco-embroidered floor mats, a Bluetooth-capable Sony CD stereo, and Kicker speakers. A trim piece between the headliner and hardtop is missing.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller. A May 2022 mileage inconsistency is noted on the Carfax report, and total mileage is unknown.
The 5.0-liter V8 features electronic fuel injection and an MSD ignition system, and the truck most recently passed a California emissions test in February 2022.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller notes that the transmission filter, gasket, and fluid were changed under current ownership. Additional images of the underside are available in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Nevada and California from its first entry in October 2001.
