This 1985 Jaguar XJ-SC is a European-market example that is said to have been first delivered in Germany before it was imported to the US in 1985. The car is powered by a 3.6-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in white over blue leather. Equipment includes a black soft top and removable roof panels as well as fog lights, 15″ wheels, power windows & mirrors, and a Pioneer cassette stereo. The car spent time in Florida before it was acquired by the seller in 2009 and relocated to California. This XJ-SC is offered at no reserve with a tool kit, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Tudor White and features a black roof that is equipped with two removable panels and a manually folding rear soft top. Additional equipment includes fog lights, chrome bumpers with black trim, power-adjustable mirrors with chrome caps, and dual exhaust outlets. Discoloration on the roof is shown in the gallery below, an additional top is included with the car and shown in the gallery.
Silver-finished 15” basketweave wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. A full-size spare wheel and tire are stored in the trunk.
The interior features seats upholstered in Isis Blue leather, while wood trim accents the dashboard and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows & mirrors, a trip computer, and a Pioneer cassette stereo. Wear is visible on the outer side of the driver’s seat.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a bank of drum-style auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The DOHC 3.6-liter AJ6 inline-six was rated at 221 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque when new and delivers power to the rear wheels through a five-speed Getrag 265 manual transmission. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida and California from an initial entry in 1992. An entry in June 2020 lists the mileage as 206,788.
