This 1965 Honda CB160 is powered by a 161cc SOHC parallel twin paired with a four-speed transmission and was refinished in maroon with chrome accents under previous ownership. Equipment includes a frame-mounted tool box, a dual exhaust system, a steering damper, 18″ wire-spoke wheels, clubman handlebars with a bar-end mirror, electric and kick starters, and both center and side stands as well as a black solo seat with a body-color cowl. The bike is said to have been used for display purposes before it was acquired by the seller in 2020. This CB160 is now offered at no reserve with a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The fuel tank, tool box, seat cowl, and side panels were refinished in maroon under previous ownership, and chrome accents include the chain guard, headlight nacelle, fenders, and fuel tank side panels. Features include a black-upholstered solo seat, a frame-mounted tool box, black rubber knee pads, front and rear lighting, and both center and side stands as well as a black-finished steel backbone frame and swingarm.
Wire-spoke wheels with 18″ chrome-steel rims wear IRC Zap tires. Suspension consists of a conventional fork with black rubber gaiters as well as dual preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm. Stopping power is provided by a finned drum brake at each wheel, with the front drum featuring twin leading shoes.
The chrome clubman handlebar is equipped with a left-side bar-end mirror, and the steering damper adjustment knob atop the steering stem is marked with the transmission’s shift pattern. The top of the headlight nacelle contains a 100-mph Fuji Electric speedometer with inset indicator lights and speed range markings for each gear. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 30 of which were ridden by the seller.
The four-stroke 161cc SOHC parallel twin features a pair of 20mm Keihin carburetors, a dual exhaust system, and both electric and kick starters. Factory-rated output was 16.5 horsepower and 9 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the oil was changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a four-speed transmission and a drive chain.
Frame stamping B1601009350 is shown above. The current Illinois title lists the VIN as CB1601009350.
