This 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata has been registered to the current owner in South Carolina since 1997 and now shows 36k miles. Finished in Classic Red with a black convertible soft top over black cloth upholstery, the car is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14″ Daisy alloy wheels, air conditioning, and a factory cassette stereo. Service in preparation for the sale included performing an oil change and coolant, transmission, and brake fluid flush as well as replacing the tires and fuel filter. This NA Miata is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with the manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title.
The car is finished in Classic Red and features a black soft top. Additional equipment includes pop-up headlights, chrome door handles, and painted mirror caps. An accident with another vehicle is noted on the Carfax report from April 2009 that resulted in “minor” damage to the front of the car, and the seller notes dents are present on the left quarter panel, driver’s door, and left fender. The passenger side mirror stem is cracked. Photos of paint meter readings can be seen in the gallery.
Silver 14″ Daisy alloy wheels are mounted with 185/60 Hankook Kinergy ST tires that were mounted in June 2022. The car is equipped with variable-assist power steering, and GAB adjustable dampers have been installed. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black cloth with color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include an AM/FM/cassette stereo, Miata-branded floor mats, a leather shift boot, and air conditioning.
A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer indicates 36k miles, approximately 18k of which were added under current ownership.
The 1.6-liter DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 116 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed, the cooling system was flushed, and the fuel filter was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The transmission and differential fluids were serviced in preparation for the sale.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident from April 2009 with ‘minor’ damage to the front and lists history in South Carolina from the first entry in December 1994.
