This 1956 Ford F-100 Custom Cab pickup was reportedly repainted and overhauled under prior ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in 2017. The truck is finished in red over gray tweed upholstery and powered by a replacement 292ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a wood cargo bed floor, a dual exhaust system, a Stromberg two-barrel carburetor, electronic ignition, a 12-volt electrical system, a hidden JVC CD stereo, drum brakes, and body-color 15″ steel wheels. An engine overhaul was performed under current ownership. This F-100 is offered with service records and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The truck was finished from the factory in Torch Red and was repainted under prior ownership. Equipment includes a chrome grille, body-color running boards, chrome bumpers, polished running-board steps, wing windows, chrome mirrors, and wood bed floor slats separated by polished runners. Scrapes in the paint are noted on the cab roof.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear Ford-branded chrome hubcaps and wide whitewall tires, and a matching spare is mounted on the left side of the bed. The truck is equipped with manual steering and four-wheel drum brakes. The brake fluid was flushed in May 2021.
The cab features a bench seat trimmed in gray tweed and red vinyl upholstery along with a matching headliner, door panels, and black rubber floor coverings. Appointments include a heater and lap belts as well as a JVC CD stereo hidden in the glove box and Kenwood speakers in the kick panels.
Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level as well as oil pressure and generator warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 292ci V8 was overhauled under current ownership by FeNix Automotive of North Charleston, South Carolina with a valve job, a polished crank, and replacement pistons, rings, bearings, rocker arms, pushrods, gaskets, oil and water pumps, and belts. Equipment includes a Stromberg two-barrel carburetor, an oil-bath air cleaner, electronic ignition, a 12-volt charging system, a gel-style battery, and cast iron ram-head-style headers with dual exhaust pipes.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. The differential fluid was changed in May 2021.
