This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 was imported from Italy in November 2021 and was acquired by the selling dealer in December 2021. The truck is finished in green over gray vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four that drives all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Refurbishment work completed in 2018 is said to have included a repaint, and the truck is modified with aftermarket bumpers, a front winch, an onboard compressor, a Pioneer stereo, roof rails, a snorkel, skid plates, LED lighting, and side and rear steps. This Defender 90 is now offered with a clean Delaware title.
The body is said to have been refinished in green and features a black roof panel with alpine windows as well as black checker-plate on the hood, fender tops, and quarter panels. Modifications include aftermarket bumpers, a front winch, roof rails, a snorkel, side and rear steps, and LED lighting with guards.
Black-finished 16″ wheels are wrapped in 235/85 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires. A full-size spare with a Maxxis tire is mounted to the rear cargo door. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, which are said to have been overhauled by the selling dealer in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in gray vinyl with matching center console and door panels. Equipment includes a Pioneer stereo, rubber floor mats, and an onboard air compressor with dash-mounted controls. Corrosion can be seen on the driver’s seat frame, the headliner is sagging, and wear is noted on the driver’s seat bolster and center console.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 150-km/h speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 184k kilometers (~114k miles).
The cargo area features inward-facing jump seats trimmed in black upholstery as well as a checker-plate floor liner.
The 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four was factory rated at 111 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer states that exhaust components were replaced in 2022, and spots of corrosion are visible on the underside. Additional photos of the underside are in the gallery below.
Decoding the VIN plate reveals the following information:
- SAL – European Land Rover
- LD – Model 90 or 110
- V – 92.3″ wheelbase
- A – 2-door hardtop body configuration
- F – 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel
- 8 – Five-speed manual transmission, left-hand drive
- M – 1995 production year
- A – Solihull, UK assembly
- 959976 – Serial number
