This 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Holiday Coupe was produced at GM’s Linden, New Jersey, facility and resided in Virginia before it was acquired by the current owner in 2018. Powered by a 394ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in two-tone blue with a matching interior. Equipment includes an AM radio as well as dual bench seats and an analog clock. Refurbishment work completed under current ownership is said to have included rust repair, a repaint, and replacement of the fuel tank, fuel pump, exhaust components, tires, and shocks and springs. This Dynamic 88 is now offered at no reserve on behalf of the current owner with a Virginia title.
Finished from the factory in Aqua Mist with a Pacific Mist upper body, the car was reportedly repainted under current ownership following rust repairs. The seller notes a scratch on the right-front fender, which is shown in detail in the photo gallery below.
Steel 14″ wheels wear Oldsmobile-branded wheel covers and Vercelli Classic thin-whitewall tires that were mounted during current ownership according to the seller, who notes the shocks and springs were replaced at that time. A full-size spare wheel mounted with an older tire is located in the trunk.
The interior features multi-tone vinyl and cloth seat upholstery with color-coordinated panels and carpeting as well as contrasting bright trim. Equipment includes manually-operated windows and locks, a remote side mirror, and a heater. The car retains an AM radio, though it is inoperative according to the seller. Splits are present on the padded dashboard, and the cabin materials and finishes are further shown in the gallery below.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the current owner. The seller notes the fuel gauge and horn are inoperative.
A 394ci Sky Rocket V8 is equipped with a single carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels via a three-speed Roto Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Per the seller, service under current ownership has included replacement of the fuel tank, fuel pump, and exhaust components. The seller notes shuddering from the transmission upon deceleration.
Additional photos showing the suspension, chassis, and driveline, as well as corrosion on portions of the mechanicals are presented in the gallery below.
The Virginia title bears a “Not Actual” odometer brand.
