This 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230SL is finished in blue over a tan interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 2.3L inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a color-matched removable hardtop, a tan soft top, an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth, a Nardi steering wheel, and air conditioning. The car was acquired in 2022 by the selling dealer, and work performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the carpets and soft top. This W113 Pagoda is offered with a tool kit, an owner’s manual, service records, and a clean New Jersey title.
Finished from the factory in Havana Brown (408), the exterior was repainted blue during prior ownership. Features include a removable Pagoda hardtop, a driver-side mirror, and twin exhaust outlets. A replacement tan soft top was installed in May 2022. Paint bubbles on the left quarter panel and rear panel above the trunk lid are shown in the photo gallery below.
Body-color 14” steel wheels wear polished and painted covers and are wrapped in 185/75 Goodyear Decathlon tires. The front brake pads were replaced in November 2021.
The cabin features seats upholstered in tan along with a Havana Brown-painted dash accented by tan upper and lower pads. Replacement squareweave carpets were installed in preparation for the sale, and the dash speaker was also replaced in 2022. Additional features include under-dash air conditioning, lap belts, a floor-mounted shifter, a wood center console, and a Continental multimedia stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer, along with gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 2.3-liter M127 inline-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and was rated at 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque when new. An oil change was performed in November 2021 and the fuel filter was replaced in 2020. A replacement section of fuel line was installed in 2018 and the voltage regulator was replaced in 2015.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The pinion seal was replaced in 2018. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
Serial number stamping 113.042-12-018169 is shown above, and the VIN on the New Jersey title is missing the first digit.
