This 1961 Victoria Spoetnik 115 was manufactured by Zweirad Union in Nürnberg, Germany and was sold in-country under the Victoria nameplate. This example is finished in white and metallic blue and is powered by a 48cc two-stroke single paired with a three-speed transmission. Equipment includes a white two-up seat, a leading-link fork, a shrouded cylinder head, front and rear lighting, a polished exhaust system, a kickstarter, an enclosed drive chain, wire-spoke 16″ wheels, and a center stand. The bike was acquired by its current owner in 2018, and subsequent work included repainting and chrome-plating the fuel tank, cleaning the carburetor, and replacing the spark plug. This Spoetnik is now offered in North Carolina by the seller on behalf of its current owner owner with German operating permits and a bill of sale.
The bike is finished in metallic blue and white with gold Victoria script and features a pressed-steel body and a valanced front fender. The one-piece fuel tank and headlamp nacelle was repainted and re-chromed after dents were removed under current ownership. Details include a white Denfeld two-up seat, chrome trim, a headlight, a taillight, and a center stand. The seller notes paint scratches.
Chrome 16″ wheels are laced to hubs with drum brakes and wear Continental whitewall tires. Suspension is provided by a leading-link fork up front and a swingarm at the rear, with oil-damped shocks at both ends.
A body-colored handlebar shroud with a chrome Zweirad Union badge and gold Victoria script sits ahead of a VDO 60-km/h speedometer integrated atop the headlamp/fuel tank nacelle. The five-digit odometer shows 12k kilometers (~7,500 miles).
The air-cooled Zweirad Union 48cc two-stroke single is equipped with a kickstarter, a cooling fan and cylinder head shroud, and a polished exhaust with a torpedo-style muffler. The carburetor was cleaned and the spark plug was replaced in 2021 per the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a three-speed transmission and an enclosed drive chain.
The original operating permit from June 1963 lists 1961 as the year of production and lists the chassis number as 1152004449, which matches the number on the motorbike’s data plate.
The motorcycle conveys on a bill of sale only.
