This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E is finished in Desert Taupe Metallic over Palomino MB-Tex and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo. The car spent much of its life in Connecticut and was recently acquired by the selling dealer. Subsequent work is said to have included replacement of the brake pads and front rotors. This W124 shows 40k miles and is now offered in California with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Connecticut title.
The car is finished in Desert Taupe Metallic (441) with gray bumper covers. Features include headlight wipers, an electric sunroof, and a power-retractable antenna.
Silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel wheels wear older Pirelli Cinturato P3000 tires in gallery photographs and were recently with new Laufenn tires. A spare wheel and tire are stored beneath the trunk floor. The brake pads and front rotors were reportedly replaced in February 2022.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats and a rear bench trimmed in Palomino MB-Tex (174), while woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console. Amenities include automatic climate control, a power-adjustable steering column, electric windows, cruise control, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with a remote control.
The airbag steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 40k miles.
The 3.0-liter M103 inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a a four-speed automatic transmission.
Additional underbody photographs are provided in the gallery below.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Connecticut from its first entry in July 1996 onward. The car has not passed a California emissions test.
