This 2004 BMW M3 coupe is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and it has been modified with Dinan equipment including an ECU tune, an intake, cams, high-flow throttle bodies, strut- and shock-tower braces, a pedal set, suspension components, and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Jet Black, and additional changes include 19″ Apex Arc-8 wheels, a Seibon rear spoiler, Recaro Sportster CS seats, a Rogue Engineering short-shift kit, a Storm Motorwerks shifter knob, and BimmerWorld and Rogue Engineering exhaust components. The car spent time in Nevada and California prior to its acquisition in June 2021 by the seller, who relocated it to Idaho and has since added approximately 4k of the 81k indicated miles. This E46 M3 is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Jet Black (668) and was repainted in October 2018 under previous ownership. The Carfax report lists “minor damage” to the roof, nose, and sides of the car at that time, which the report attributes to an ‘act of nature’. Exterior features include Dinan badging, a black-finished Seibon rear spoiler, xenon headlights, LED taillights, parking sensors, and four exhaust outlets. Stone chips are noted on the front bumper cover.
Staggered width 19″ Apex Arc-8 wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. The car was factory equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and the suspension has been modified with sport-tuned Dinan components.
The cabin features black Recaro Sportster CS bucket seats on BimmerWorld mounts, and brushed aluminum shadow trim accents the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, a navigation system, a Dinan pedal set, and Harman Kardon audio. A Rogue Engineering short-shift kit has been added along with a Storm Motorwerks shifter knob and Alcantara shifter and handbrake boots. Missing pixels are noted in the navigation display.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 80k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six has been modified with Dinan S2 components including an ECU tune, an intake, strut- and shock-tower braces, cams, and high-flow throttle bodies. The exhaust system features a BimmerWorld rasp pipe and a Rogue Engineering non-resonated cross-pipe, and the removed components are included in the sale. Work in June 2021 included a valve adjustment, oil change, and replacing the valve cover gasket and spark plugs.
A plaque in the engine bay lists the car’s Dinan S2 serial number.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Dinan limited-slip differential with 3.91:1 gearing. A subframe reinforcement kit was installed in March 2021, and the transmission fluid and differential fluid were replaced in June of that year.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Ralph Schomp BMW in Littleton, Colorado, as well as factory options and the car’s total suggested retail price. Two keys, manufacturer’s literature, and spare parts are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned “minor damage” in October 2018 and lists registration history in Nevada, California, and Idaho.
